How to Order

1. Submit a Commission Request
  • Fill out the 'Commission Request' form below, with your preferred medium, size, and subject matter.

  • Attach a clear, high-quality reference photo if possible. If you only have low-quality images, let me know -- I may be able to work with them for an additional fee.

(See below 'How to Provide a High-Quality Reference Photo')

2. Review & Confirmation
  • I will review your request and confirm availability. If I need any additional details, I'll reach out.

  • I will begin working on your artwork!

  • Depending on the medium and complexity, turn around time is typically 4 weeks.

  • I will provide progress updates unless you would like to be surprised!

  • Tracking information will be provided once it is on the way!

How to Provide a High-Quality Reference Photo

How to Provide a High-Quality Reference Photo

The quality of the reference photo directly affects the accuracy and detail of your artwork. For the best results, please follow these guidelines when selecting and submitting your photo:

Best Photo Guidelines:
  • Clear and Well-Lit – The photo should be sharp and in focus, with good lighting that highlights important details (like pet hair or skin details). Avoid dark or blurry images.

  • High Resolution – The higher the resolution, the better. Images should not be pixelated or heavily compressed.

  • Natural Colors – Avoid filters or extreme color edits that may distort natural tones.

  • Full Subject in Frame – Ensure the entire subject (whether a pet, person, or home) is visible, without parts cut off.

What to Avoid:
  • Blurry or Grainy Photos - Details are harder to capture accurately.

  • Screenshots or Social Media Downloads - These reduce image quality and can make details unclear.

  • Extreme Shadows or Overexposure - Harsh lighting can wash out detail or make features hard to define.

  • Obstructed or Cropped Images - If part of the subject is missing, I may need to guess details, which affects accuracy.

What If I Only Have Low-Quality Photos?

If you don't have a high-quality reference, I may be able to work with multiple images to create the best possible composition. However, an additional fee may apply due to the extra time required to reconstruct missing details.

How to Submit Your Photos:
  • Upload your reference photo directly in the commission request form.

  • If you have multiple images or need assistance choosing the best one, you can email them to theblondenboots@gmail.com after submitting the form.
